CZ 457 Trigger Spring Kit

This spring is a replacement for the trigger pull spring of a CZ 457 rifle. It reduces the minimum trigger weight of the trigger from ~800 g to ~490 g (~1,8 lb to ~1,1 lb), or approx. 38% (the exact value is dependent on the individual firearm). The trigger can still be adjusted to a max. pull weight of about 1,4 kg (3 lb) if needed.

We typically measure minimum trigger weights between 450 g and 550 g (~1 lb to ~1,2 lb) when using our spring. We’ve tried lighter springs, but we haven’t been able to consistently achieve more trigger weight reduction using these. This is because the sear engagement plays the biggest role in the trigger weight of the CZ 457 rifles. If you reduce the spring force, you usually have to increase the sear engagement to have a safe trigger that will pass a drop test. In our tests you then end up with a trigger weight about the same as with the heavier spring. We feel our spring hits that sweet spot of maximum weight reduction without compromising on safety.

A simple way to estimate the trigger weight you might achieve, is to measure the minimum trigger weight of your firearm, and multiply the value by 0,62. It doesn’t work for all firearms, but for most it gets you in the ballpark. Example: 750 g * 0,62 = 465 g

Manufacturing and Performance Characteristics

Most commercially available CZ 457 trigger springs are general‑purpose industrial components with uneven end surfaces, variable coil counts and measurable batch‑to‑batch variation. These factors introduce lateral friction (“spring drag”) and contribute to inconsistent trigger pull weights, particularly noticeable on the CZ 457’s adjustable trigger system.

• Closed and ground ends to ensure linear, friction‑stable compression
• Fixed coil geometry for predictable and repeatable pull weights
• 1.4310 / X10CrNi18‑8 stainless steel for corrosion resistance and long‑term dimensional stability
• Manufactured in Germany to tight tolerances for uniformity across production batches

This controlled production approach reduces the variability associated with mass‑produced industrial springs and supports a consistent, uniform trigger break on the CZ 457 platform.
