FAQs:
Why don’t you offer CZ 457 extra power striker springs?
Riaan2025-01-23T23:43:13+01:00There are lots of discussions around extra power striker springs, and whether it improves the accuracy of the CZ 457. The consensus seems to be that it doesn't improve the accuracy (only in rare cases). It could in fact have the opposite effect, since it sends more vibrations down the barrel.
Another downside is that it increases the trigger pull weight. This is due to simple physics - the more force is applied to the sear, the more friction has to be overcome to release the trigger.
If you're experiencing light primer strikes, the problem is often somewhere else. A stronger striker spring might improve it, but you'll be treating the symptom and not the problem.
Why don’t you offer lighter trigger springs to be able to get an even lighter trigger pull?
Riaan2025-01-23T22:58:13+01:00We tried different springs with higher and lower spring rates. The spring isn’t the only factor determining the trigger weight - the mechanical features and tolerances plays a big role too. We selected the spring that will give a reduced trigger pull weight and still be reliable in most triggers.
In some triggers using a lighter spring didn’t reduce the trigger weight any further. In others it needed a minimum amount of spring force to reliably reset the trigger. This is why we recommend to always have the installation done by a gunsmith.
