Tikka T3/T3x Bolt Knob – Cratered Column

This bolt knob is an ergonomic upgrade for the Tikka T3/T3x platform. The elongated column profile extends the factory bolt handle and delivers a confident, repeatable interface for faster, more controlled cycling. Its cratered surface pattern provides a secure, tactile grip with a technical, machined aesthetic that remains unobtrusive in use.

Performance and Installation

The bolt knob installs in minutes using an expansion‑plug system. Insert the plug end into the drilled hole of the factory bolt handle and tighten the stainless steel set screw. As the screw advances, the plug expands and locks securely in place. The circumferential grooves on the plug increase friction and help prevent rotation or movement under recoil.

This system provides a firm, repeatable connection without requiring permanent modification to the bolt handle.

Manufacturing and Material Characteristics

Most aftermarket bolt knobs are produced using low‑end desktop printing, which creates weak points along layer lines. These components often fail when lateral force is applied during cycling.

Before installation, please read the installation instructions carefully. Factory bolt knobs are often glued in place with JB Weld or similar epoxy. Depending on your environment and usage, you may need to apply epoxy as well to prevent movement or slipping.
