HeviFill – Shooting Bag Filler

This filler is perfect for the shooting range. The extra weight and the shape of the fill that gives a good lock, makes for a more stable platform. It’s still considerably lighter than sand, so you can still carry it around in a backpack if needed. The benefit of using a polymer filler is that it won’t degrade over time, be eaten by rodents or soak up water if it gets wet. If you are a hunter, or you have a big pillow type bag, or you simply want a light shooting bag that can live in your backpack, you might want to check out our LiteFill.

HeviFill is a polymer fill that weighs ~500 g/l. It is about 3x the volumetric weight of our LiteFill. The beads are cylindrical in the shape, with a diameter of 3 – 4 mm and a length of 1 – 5 mm. The irregular shapes help give it a good fill density, as it fills the voids well. The fill locks up much better than round beads. It will not compress under load. Due to being made from polymer, it does not absorb moisture. The colour of the fill is grey.

If you prefer a lighter fill, we also have our LiteFill or MixFill. With our MixFill, you get a mixture of LiteFill and HeviFill to give you the best properties of both fills.

The filler is made from 100% recycled material and sourced from a local German manufacturer. This ensures a smaller ecological footprint and we have more control over the quality of the product. And if you ever need to dispose of it, you can recycle it again so it can be made into more filler for someone else!
